Lyman III was born in Lockport, New York in 1950. He studied at
Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring on Graphic Arts, and
at University of New Mexico where his concentration was in printmaking.
In addition to employment in several capacities in the commercial
printing industry, he has worked as a lithographic printer at
the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and as the Master
printer at Gallery 696 in Rochester, New York Lyman's prints and
paintings have been shown at Rochester Institute of Technology,
Memorial Art Gallery, Archive Gallery, University of New Mexico,
University of Arizona and at the World Print Competition in San
Francisco, California.
