This artist was born in Cresco, Iowa in 1895, and educated He was
educated at the University of Washington and M.I.T and went on for
further study in Europe. He received many awards, such as the Guggenheim
Fellowship for study in etching in 1926. He was a writer, teacher,
and etcher. He specialized in architectural illustration and photography. |

Watson was born in conway, Massachusetts and received his education
at Massachusetts school of Art, and Pratt Institute where he later
taught. Watson also is an editor of the magazine "Art Instruction".
He is represented in important museum collections, including the
smithsonian Institution and the New York Public Library.
