Charles Hewitt is a painter, printmaker and sculptor who lives
in New York City. Hewitt has received grants for his work from
the New York State Council for the Arts and his work is in
numerous public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of
Art, MOMA, New York Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Whitney
Museum, Fogg Art Museum and the Portland Museum of Art among
others.

short stories by Truman Capote and poetry. My paintings include
my new thoughts as well as memories of my life growing up with
